Hi everyone-

I am very excited about getting the 2011 program and blog started!

Contributors: please begin by posting a brief introduction. What are your hobbies and interests? Why are you participating in this exchange? What would you like to share about your home region? My background: I am the Executive Director of Green Across the Pacific (GATP). We organize and implement Environmental Leadership Exchange Programs, in North America and Asia. I have a background in biology and education. I taught in public and private high schools for 20 years. I founded GATP in 2000, and now work both for GATP and Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. My wife and I are raising two boys. One is a junior at the University of Vermont, and the other is a sophomore at our local high school. In addition to my work, I enjoy music, reading, biking, cross-country skiing, gardening and cooking.

I'm really looking forward to working with all of you!
